The Beginning
How it started
4 different NAV offices tested our solution in connection with their financial advice. In total, they assisted 50 people in this project. The NAV offices that contributed were NAV Arendal, NAV Nittedal, NAV Midt-Agder, and NAV Sandefjord.
From the start we connected to BankID, so that both user and debt advisor could identify themselves securely before they were given access to the service. There have been challenges with the connection to BankID and its use, but we continuously improve. Send an email to kontakt@inkassoregisteret.no for a concrete offer.
The debt we get an overview of is all collection cases and the Debt Register. We will eventually expand with state and municipal debt.
Finally, the Inkassoregisteret can offer more tools that can help users pay off their debt!
Our budget function consists of 5 steps and we help you every step of the way. First you create a family, you enter your income and housing expenses. We then calculate a budget for the user based on the debt rates. It is possible to choose between SIFO rates and government subsistence rates.
The repayment function is based on the budget. This function will help you create a repayment plan to be sent to your creditors. We help you with the set-up and tell you what documentation must be attached. Then the negotiations with the creditors can start.

Then, emails are sent to the debt collection companies via NAV's own systems. Further down the list comes calling the debt collection companies and logging into their 'My Page'
On average, a debt advisor spends 4.5 weeks on getting a complete overview of the user's debt. What the debt advisors find most challenging in this process is whether they have included all the cases, let alone if the information is out of date.
On a scale of 0-5, where 5 is very important, 91% answer that it would have been very important to get a complete overview of collection cases and other debts, in order to be able to work towards a solution.
